![]() Some days it's hard to put words together to write, some days the words just flow out and I can have two pages written in under fifteen minutes. Some days I tell myself I need to post something, but some days I can't come up with the words to say or I just get lazy and don't do it. I wake up excited to write everyday, but I don't choose to do it somedays. BUT- that's a big but right there because ya know what.. I gotta do it. We've all gotta do it-- we're all the light in someone's lives, whether we know it or not. It could be a stranger on the street, it could be your parents, your friends.. anyone could be watching you, reading your posts, or just pass you by on the street, and however you're portraying yourself could influence their whole day, and even their entire life. Does it freak you out that one little tiny word that you say to someone could in fact make or break their day? That one action, one kind word, one hug could be the one thing that one person needed to open their eyes and see that there's indeed a bigger plan for us all at the end of this life? You can let it scare you, or you can embrace that opportunity. Let it soak in that you could in fact be the very reason that someone is saved, that they choose to follow Jesus because of your example, that they get to spend eternity in heaven. Woah. My niece made her first communion the other day, and she looked so beautiful in her little white dress with matching white finger nails and her white flower headband. If I could freeze her as she is right now, I would. So innocent, so full of life and curiosity, unafraid. So cuddly and loving and just so darn cute. When is it we go from being young and open and excited, to being afraid of what other people think, of standing back instead of standing out because it isn't the "cool" thing to do. Couldn't we all learn a lesson in how these little children live? I know I learn from them every single day and being around them brings so much joy to my heart. I also know that what I do, what I say, how I live my life will 110% affect how they grow up and affect their views on many things on so many levels. The best I can do is show them so much love and hope and pray that they too grow up knowing how incredibly loved they are, both by their family and my an amazing amazing Father who never leaves, and always loves- at our best and at our worst. Days when you feel like giving up, quitting, or just procrastinating being who you know you're made to be.. just remember, you NEVER ever know who's watching. Don't give up because I promise even if you're going through some hard times, you're struggling, and you just wanna throw the towel in the bag.. the trials will make you stronger and it'll turn out better than you think. God doesn't just give us hard times and expect us to handle it all on our own. Those times are when He waits for us to call on Him to find strength and hope, to lean on Him. It's the middle of the week and we're all probably a little worn down, a little(or alot) ready for the weekend. You might be at a steady point in your life, everything's going pretty smooth, or you could be going some hard, hard times. Whatever you're facing, I hope you find the truth and promise in this: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We all have a purpose, God has a unique plan for each of our lives. We can sit back and hope it all comes together, or we can actively pursue it, pray about it, seek guidance, and become the person that we're meant to be. We can all make some sort of difference in the lives of those around us, we just have to pay less attention to what others think about us and not be afraid to stand out for the one who died to bring us life. We can't give up. As Brit Nicole's "The Lost Get Found" says... There's a really big world at your fingertips And you know you have the chance to change it. Next time you have the choice to choose between two things, don't forget that there might be little ones, strangers, friends, siblings, family watching- remembering what you did, how you reacted, and they might speak the same words that you spoke. Wherever you are and whatever you do, any moment could be the perfect moment to stand out and in that moment, you could change someone's day or even, their entire life. I'm big on music and listening to what the lyrics are actually trying to say && this song's been in my head for a few days and it's part of the reason I wanted to write about this. Britt Nicole is also super amazing && all of her songs are so great! Here it is.. go help the lost get found<3
