![]() Does your mind ever feel like it's going 100 mph and you cannot get it to stop. Is it hard for you to just sit. Sit and breath. Think zero thoughts and just be 100% present in the moment. When you're laying down at night, when you're sitting at your desk at work, just all the time? Mine feels like that lately. I'm not sure why, or if it always has and I've just started to notice it because one of my goals this year is to take a few minutes each day to just breath and meditate each day, but holy cow! It's an actual task for me to sit in my chair and just focus on nothing. I downloaded this app called Headspace on my phone, so I've really been working on listening to it before I go to bed. It must be helping me relax because I usually fall asleep before the 10 minute session is over. oops. I definitely recommend it if your head feels like a jumble of thoughts and you can't ever take a break from it. It's guided, so its not like you're just sitting there trying not to think about your crazy life. When I started doing this and realizing how anxious I really was, I became more aware of how I needed to take more of my own advice and relax. I had an MRI done yesterday and trying to keep my body still for 40 minutes while I laid there... That was a task. And right now, as I city in a coffee shop in Astoria, New York-- the pace here is much faster and everyone's on the go. It's totally opposite what I'm used to. And I know that I'm anxious, but at the same time I know that I am, so I try to control it. I know it's all in my mind and I know its up to me to stop it. I know who I am in Christ, and I know that He's got it all under control, and because of this, i Know there's absolutely no reason to worry. I tell people all the time not to worry, so I, and maybe you too, just need to work on taking my own advice. When I was flying today, when I get overwhelmed, no matter the situation- through it all, everything- at home, at work, on the go, on planes, trains, anywhere, I have to remind myself (and continue to do so every day) of this. And this is all just as true for you as it is for me: Hil. Stop. Stop stressing, stop being anxious, stop overthinking, stop thinking something is wrong, stop worrying, stop trying to make things work that aren't meant to work for you. I've got it all covered. I've got your plan written out. It's not going to change a single thing by having it take up 95% of your daily thoughts. It's not going to add a single minute to your life if you worry about it 99% of your day. It simply isn't worth it. Trust me. Trust my plan. Pray about it more than you stress about it, and have faith. Faith that My timing is the perfect timing. Faith that you will end up where you are meant to. Faith that you will make a difference in the world. Faith that everything will work out. You're okay. You're beautiful. You're talented. You're smart. You deserve the world. You deserve someone who loves you without a doubt in his mind. I died for you, for your sins. Stop with the regrets, stop with the questioning, stop holding on when you need to just let it go and let Me do My work in you. Don't be ashamed of any moment in your life- be open, be someone others can learn from and be a safe place for others. Someone they know they can trust with anything, that will drop anything to be there in a time of need. Be the person that someone needs. Don't worry about the little things. Take a deep breath, in and out, and relax. Calm yourself. Go be a light that shines bright for everyone around you because I created you, and you're meant to be a bright, bright light for this dark world. It's true, and there's so much more. Breathe, and let that all sink in. His promises for you, His promises about who you are, who He created you to be and to do. You're unique. You're one of a kind and there's not a single person in this entire universe that is the exact same as you. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you're not good enough, not smart enough, not qualified enough or that you can't do something. Because you can. I'll tell you that anytime, no matter what crazy dreams you might come up with. It's possible, and with God, anything is possible. Just breathe and believe.
