Do you ever have those days or those weeks where you continually are reminded of something?
It's as if God is showing you through people, through His creation, through music, through the most random things, that what He's put on your heart will come to fruit.
He's been laying Romans 8:28 pretty heavy on my heart lately, and maybe there's someone out there reading this that needs to reminded of this promise, too.
I've been up since about 5:45 and within these few hours of going, I've seen and heard this verse in about 4 different places, and it's showed up multiple times in different places, from different people, throughout the past week. It's been a verse I've been leaning on and repeating to myself multiple times per day.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Maybe you don't have a person in your life that will tell you confidently that everything will be okay, that everything will work out. Maybe you do and they're reminding you of that daily. Maybe you don't feel like you don't deserve to hear it because you don't believe you deserve goodness in your life.
There are some of you that have a lot of uncertainties you're dealing with, maybe there's stuff going on at work or at home or in your marriage, relationship, or friendship, and you don't know how it will turn around for the good. Maybe you're struggling with anxiety or depression, or you are losing hope.
Whatever you are going through, no matter how big or how small it is, can I remind you of one thing? If you think one thing about yourself or about your circumstances today.. Let it be this..
You are loved. So so much. No matter how dark life gets, He can light up the darkness you're facing. Even if you don't know what to say, what to ask for, what to pray, He searches your heart and knows your feelings. He will never leave you, abandon you, or cause harm to you. No matter how hopeless your situation seems right now, He is moving. You might not see now how it's going to work out, but it will, and it will be for your good. In the hardest times are the times when His light will shine the brightest, when all seems hopeless. He isn't making you wait for something because He wants you to miserable, anxious, doubtful, uncertain. No. His timing is perfect and He's preparing you for the good that He has for you. Don't lose hope, and don't give up. What if the moment you decide to give up was one second short of the blessing He was about to bring to you, if only you'd hung on a second longer? It's not always going to be easy, it might not ever be easy, but when we step in obedience and trust and have faith, He will honor that. He will walk with you step by step until you reach His promise. And it will be good. So good. He has great plans for you and for me and for all of us, and these plans will bring us hope and a future.
Maybe you needed to hear that, maybe you don't believe it at all, maybe no one has ever told you something like this, maybe it's something you hear daily from a friend or family member.
Wherever you're at, I hope it brings you peace about where you are at this moment. This moment and all of this life, no matter how messy or how clear it is, is working together for our good. And it will be good.
