Don't wake me if I'm dreamin

I keep thinking I'm going to wake up from a dream any minute. I've woken up the past two days in Florida, eaten breakfast outside and I see palm trees everywhere I turn. On top of that, I'll be driving a brand new BMW for the summer. If I'm dreaming, then please don't wake me up!

The past week has been a whirlwind of see ya later's and flights. I left everything I've grown comfortable with to get on a flight to a place that I've never been, where I wouldn't know anyone. It's taken some getting used to, but once I got here I got lucky and had some great people to sit next to on the plane, so the flight flew by and I was in New Jersey before I knew it.

I had to meet up with another man who'd arrived around the same time as me so we could call for our shuttle to the airport. So we called, and we waited.. And waited.. And an hour later, it still wasn't there. So we called them again. She said someone was close and would be there in five minutes. Well, five minutes.. ten minutes.. another 45 minutes went by. So we called, again. They'd gotten word that someone had already picked us up, so again they said someone would be there in ten minutes. He finally arrived shortly after that and after a half hour drive, we were finally at our hotel.

The next day was a full day of training. I got to meet my team, and I can already tell its going to be a great summer. We call ourselves the Dream Team. I learned more about cars than I ever imagined possible. Torque and horsepower? Yeah, that's a thing. Is there a difference between a 7 series and 3 series? Mhm! I sat in one of the cars that was over $100,000 and boy..  let's just say it was quite incredible! Maybe one day I'll be fortunate enough to be able to purchase one of these cars, but until then at least I can pretend it's mine for the summer.

Thursday was another day of learning. We ended a little earlier that day, so Marie and I went for a two hour walk. We'd been inside for so long that we couldn't pass up that beautiful day for sitting in the hotel. We found a little neighborhood with the most beautiful houses. We cleaned up for our team dinner, then we spent another night in the lobby with all of the other trainees. The people here are all so awesome, it kind of stinks that we got to all meet each other and spend two nights together and then had to say goodbye to everyone. We'll all be sending pics of our tours to each other though, so it'll be sweet to see where everyone is at over the summer.

So we boarded our flight to Atlanta and I got lucky again. The man I was next to was an incredible person and had accomplished so much, and he was only 25. Working hard and reaching for your dreams really do pay off and he was a perfect example of that. Our flight from Atlanta to Fort Myers was quick and smooth as well, and I'm finally done flying for awhile.

We finally got to our hotel around 11:30 that night, and got settled in a little bit. The past two days we've been picking up the cars from the dealership, putting on decals, shopping for supplies for the events, and getting everything in order as we prepare for our first event on Tuesday. The weather has been very warm. I've sweated more in the past two days than I have in awhile, so something tells me I might be getting in better shape while I'm here. My roommate and I checked out the gym last night. It's a little on the small and wimpy side, but it got the job done. I'm sore today, so that must mean I did something right! One of the guys and I are planning to get up and watch the sunrise and run on the beach in the morning, so that'll be a happy start to our Monday.

It's been a busy few days and we haven't had too much downtime, but we did stop by the beach last night right before the sunset. It stormed, so it was really cloudy, but the sun was poking through a little bit and the sun setting over the ocean was still amazing as ever. Even though we've been on the go, it's still so awesome to be here and seeing the new scenery no matter where we're going. It's so beautiful everywhere I turn, and it's crazy that I'm not just here on vacation for a few days. This is my job. I'm going to be traveling around for the next three months along the east coast with a great group of people. It feels too good to be real life, but somehow it is. I know I've been given this opportunity for a reason, and I'm so excited to be here and begin this journey. I'll keep you posted on my travels as the tour officially begins!
